Student Announcements: Just a reminder to seniors – please continue to check the scholarships that are available in guidance as new ones are continually added. Also, juniors please note that the deadline for the Richard Atkinson “Striving for Excellence” Scholarship is March 26, 2010.
Reminder to all spring athletes – there is a mandatory parent-student meeting for all athletes tonight at 6:30. You must attend unless you came to the fall or winter meeting.
Any girl interested in playing softball, should attend a meeting after school today in the gymnasium. Anyone who can’t attend today should plan on staying after tomorrow.
Are you male and find yourself attractive, amazing and talented? If so, you should pick up an application in the main office to participate in Mr. Southwick. Applications are due to Mrs. Grimaldi-Ogden or Mrs. Daugherty by Wednesday, March 24. The competition is April 1 at 7:00 p.m.
Attention students signed up for the STCC Health & Engineering Field trip on Thursday, March 11th. Please report to your first period class for attendance. You will be called down to the main office when bus arrives at 7:50. Please be reminded that a dress code is required.
Attention all seniors – the student graduation committee’s first meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 16, at 2:15 in Mr. Trzasko’s room . All seniors are welcome! Stagecraft will meet on Wednesday and Friday of this week after school. Any students interested in travelling to England on April Break next year, see Ms. Grunwald in room 139. A Health Career Club meeting has been scheduled for today at 2:15 in the Health office. Club members as well as any student interested in the Health Career fields, are welcome to attend. Please see Mrs. Turgeon, the school nurse, or Ms. Chandler, the Career Facilitator, if you have any questions. Westfield High School will be sponsoring a Prom Dress Extravaganza on March 19th and 20th at the Westfield High School cafeteria. Gently worn prom dresses, jewelry, shoes and other accessories will be sold at a nominal price. This event is open to the public. Please stop by! Attention Class of 2013: during all lunches, your class officers will be passing out your first fundraiser packet for this year. Fundraising is an essential part of raising money for your class. Orders will be due next Tuesday. Please see Ms. Climo or MS. Machado with any questions. Celebrate Foreign Language Month with an Information Scavenger Hunt! Find the answers to these language and culture related questions to win prizes. Answers must be turn in to Mrs. Galanek by 2:10 p.m. In case of a tie, time of submission will determine the winner.
