Attention Debate Team: There has been a change. Our last match will be Saturday, March 3rd at Suffield. Please let Ms. Mahoney know if you cannot attend.

 

Students who have taken a permission slip for Les Mis must hand them in to Mrs. Galanek this morning to hold their ticket. The $25 will be due right after vacation.

 

Students who are interested in writing for the March issue of the school newspaper should see Ms Grunwald in room 139.

Teen Volunteer Training Opportunity at Southwick Public Library: There will be a two-part training workshop for teens that are interested in volunteering at the Southwick Public Library. The training session will be offered on Tuesday, February 28th and Wednesday February 29th from 3 – 3:45. Participants must attend BOTH sessions.  Upon completion of their training, the teens will volunteer weekly from March – early June for at least one hour per week. The teen volunteers help primarily with shelving materials. 

School Vacation Marble Magnet Craft for 9th-12th Graders at Southwick Public Library. Marble magnets are fun, easy and useful! Join us at the Southwick Public Library on Wednesday, February 22nd from 1:30-2:30 to create your own marble magnets. Samples of the marble magnets are available for you to view at the Southwick Public Library's Reference Desk. This program is open to 9th-12th graders so bring a friend and join us.  

Rock Band 2 @ the Southwick Public Library On Monday, February 27th from 3-4 p.m., 9th-12th graders are invited to test their skills playing Rock Band 2 on the Southwick Public Library’s Wii system.  All teens are invited to join in the fun whether you are a pro or have never played Rock Band 2 before.

Any girls that are interested in participating in softball – there will be non-mandatory practices every Monday and Wednesday starting February 29th right after school in the gym.

The ASVAB test will be administered on Thursday, March 8th at STRHS. Test is open to 10-12 grades for anyone who is interested in the military or even if you just want to measure your knowledge in in math, verbal, science and technical fields. It's a great opportunity to learn what you are good at. Sign-up at the Career Center today!
